Breed: American Bulldog/Boxer mix
Weight: Approx 75 lbs.
Age: 6 years old
Buddy’s ideal home: Buddy is a shy dog who lacks confidence. He needs a family who has large breed rescue dog experience and are patient with him while he adjusts. He is a sweet boy who prefers to live without any ruckus–he’s just a chill dog who wants to relax! Buddy would do best with no young children in the home and no young children visitors.
Kids: 16 years or older. Buddy is not a fan of young children or commotion
Dogs: Buddy can live with a confident, relaxed female dog. He gets along well with dogs but seems to do best with only a female dog in the home.
Cats: Unknown, we only cat-test for approved adopters
Crate Trained: Nope, Buddy prefers to be free in the home.
House Trained: You bet!
Leash Manners: Buddy walks beautifully on leash and does not pull! He loves to go for walks.
Personality: Buddy initially comes off shy but warms up very quickly and is a real people-focused dog. He is sweet, good with all handling, and needs a yard to play in. He lacks confidence and will need a patient family with a quiet home so he can feel safe and trust everyone.
Why did he come to WISE?: Buddy came to us when his family had a baby as he does not like young children.
