The best things come in small packages and Leyla is here to prove it! She is an 11-year-old Maltese and although she is only 5 pounds, her heart is more than big enough to give you all the love you could ask for!

Nothing makes her happier than snuggling in your lap. She could lay with you all day long! She is the ultimate companion who will never leave your side and follow you wherever you go! This being said, Leyla would prefer to have someone home most of the day to keep her company.

Don’t be fooled by her age, she can be quite playful and spunky! She loves to entertain herself with her small toys by tossing them around. She enjoys short strolls and walks great on the leash.

She would do best in a quiet household that will allow her to relax. No other dogs and kids above the age of 13 would be ideal. She is fully house-trained and lets you know she has to go outside by spinning in circles or waiting by the door. At night, she sleeps in her dog bed in her foster mom’s room!

Leyla was surrendered to a local municipal shelter after her family no longer could take care of her. She is ready for a fresh start with a family who will spoil her like the princess she is!
